This is an experimental product. Features are tied to disaster images collected by the Civil Air Patrol. For each image, a trained classifier was used to evaluate the likelihood that buildings, roads, flood, rubble, or miscellaneous damage is in the image (0 = unlikely, 1 = somewhat likely, 2 = very likely).
These data are useful for filtering images and to quickly evaluate where disaster impacts may have occurred. If the image snapshot does not load in the popup, original images can be downloaded by copy/pasting the URL attribute into a new browser tab.
This experimental product was developed by the MIT Lincoln Laboratory Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Systems Group using data from the Low Altitude Disaster Imagery (LADI) data set.
